In this pottery workshop, we’ll paint handmade ramen bowls while eating delicious ramen from the best local Asian-fusion restaurant in town, Banh Sai. Come and enjoy a creative outing where you’ll make something cherished for years to come, then hop next door to Queen Street Tattoo to get a fun ramen-themed tattoo!
- Included: personal instruction, one pre-made bisque bowl, supplies, glaze, firings, one ramen bowl (TATTOOS ARE NOT INCLUDED)
- Instructor: Ashley Merklinger, owner of Bookworm Pottery & Co.
- Who: Anyone aged 18 and older
- When: Saturday, 4/19 (4pm-6pm)

- Cost: $72 per person (includes one bowl to paint + one bowl of cooked ramen)

- Bowl Painting with Bookworm Pottery: 4pm-6pm
- Ramen Availability from Banh Sai: 4pm-9pm
- Flash Tattoos with Queen Street Tattoo: 11am-7pm
Additional Information:
Your piece(s) will be glazed with a clear glaze after the workshop has ended.
Your creations will be ready for pickup from the studio at 707 S 16th St, Wilmington, NC 28401 approximately 1-2 weeks from the workshop date. You should receive a pickup email when they're finished, but if it is eaten by filters, please come by the studio after 2 weeks to check on your pots. Any pottery left at the studio 3 months after the workshop date will be donated, so please pick up your work in time!
YOU MUST SIGN YOUR POTTERY. Bookworm Pottery & Co. is not liable for lost pieces that are unsigned and mistakenly claimed by another student.
Not all pieces are guaranteed to make it out of the kiln if instructions are not followed. Inconsistencies in thickness can cause cracks or even shattering in the firing process. However, the goal is to just have fun, so don’t stress about it!
Tickets cannot be refunded, prorated or exchanged for another workshop due to the special nature of our offerings and very limited enrollment. You may resell or gift your ticket if you can no longer attend.
