Coffee & Clay Pottery Wheel Class (SATURDAY, 2/21) **THE COZY BOOKWYRM**

Always wanted to try the pottery wheel? Love coffee on a Saturday morning? This session is for you. **This class is at our Cozy Bookwyrm location in the South Front District**

In this 90-minute pottery session, you'll get the chance to try your hand at wheel-throwing. No clay experience necessary! Participants also get an exclusive 15% discount to Cafe Mata to enjoy a yummy plant-based drink during the class. Sign up with your friends/family or fly solo and meet some new pals in class!

• Included: instruction, 2 balls of clay, tools, firings, a 15% class discount to Cafe Mata
• Instructor: Alexis Mintz
• Who: Anyone aged 8 and older (children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult also enrolled in the class)
• When: Saturday, February 21 | 9am-10:30am
• Where: The Cozy Bookwyrm - 1540 S 2nd St, Unit 220, Wilmington, NC 28401 **NOT THE CARGO DISTRICT LOCATION** It is recommended you arrive early to secure parking.
• Cost: $72 per person

 More Important Information:

• CLASS TYPE: This is a pottery wheel class. You will not be sculpting or painting. Staff will trim your pottery after the session for you.
• GLAZING: Your practice piece(s) will be glazed with ONE glaze that is intuitively selected by the staff of the studio. It’ll be a fun surprise! 
• CARE: Ceramics should not be exposed to extreme temperature changes. Hand-wash or allow to cool to room temperature from the top rack of your dishwasher help prevent shattering. Avoid using boiling water. With care, your future little pots can bring you joy for a long while.
• TURNAROUND TIME: Pottery is a process and takes time to dry, glaze, and fire multiple times. Your creations will be ready for pickup from The Cozy Bookwyrm studio approximately 4-6 weeks from the class date. You should receive a pickup email when they're finished, but if it is eaten by filters, please come by the studio after 6 weeks to check on your pots or send us an email. Any pottery left at the studio 3 months after the workshop date will be donated, so please pick up your work in time!
• DISCLAIMER: Not all practice pieces are guaranteed to make it out of the kiln if instructions are not followed. Inconsistencies in thickness can cause cracks or even shattering in the firing process. However, the goal of this workshop is to learn and have fun, not the finished practice pieces, so don’t stress about it! 
• REFUND POLICY: Tickets cannot be refunded, prorated or exchanged for another workshop due to the special nature of our offerings and very limited enrollment. If something comes up that impacts your attendance, you are welcome to resell your tickets.
