Pottery & Pints: Paint Your Own Pub Mug at Satellite Bar (MONDAY, 8/3)

Love the idea of painting your own beer mug? Love good drinks? This session is for you. **This event is at Satellite Bar & Lounge in the South Front District**

In this pottery painting event, you'll get the chance to customize your very own pub mug while enjoying your favorite drinks from Satellite Bar. No experience needed--it's completely beginner friendly! Enjoy a creative, relaxed outing where you'll make your new favorite drinkware! Participants also get an exclusive 15% discount to come back and paint at The Cozy Bookwyrm.

• Included: instruction, 1 premade 16oz beer mug, pottery painting supplies, kiln firings
• Instructor: Gabby Defeo of The Cozy Bookwyrm
• Who: Anyone aged 21 and older
• When: Monday, 8/3 (6:30pm-8:30pm)
• Where: Satellite Bar & Lounge - 120 Greenfield St #6123, Wilmington, NC 28401 **NOT THE CARGO DISTRICT LOCATION** It is recommended you arrive early to secure parking.
• Cost: $55 per person

More Important Information:

• CLASS TYPE: Pottery painting
• GLAZING: Your pottery will be dipped in a glossy clear glaze after the event. 
• CARE: Ceramics should not be exposed to extreme temperature changes. Hand-wash or allow to cool to room temperature from the top rack of your dishwasher help prevent shattering. Avoid using boiling water. With care, your future little pots can bring you joy for a long while.
• TURNAROUND TIME: Your mug will be ready for pickup from The Cozy Bookwyrm approximately 3-4 weeks from the event date. You should receive a pickup email when they're finished, but if it is eaten by filters, please come by the studio after 4 weeks to check on your pots or send us an email. Any pottery left at the studio 3 months after the event date will be donated, so please pick up your work in time if you want to keep them!
• YOU MUST SIGN YOUR POTTERY. Please use your full name and the date of the session to sign your practice pots if you wish to keep them. Bookworm Pottery & Co. is not liable for lost pieces that are unsigned and mistakenly claimed by another student.
• DISCLAIMER: Not all practice pieces are guaranteed to make it out of the kiln if instructions are not followed. Inconsistencies can cause damages or imperfections in the firing process. However, the goal of this session is to have fun, so don’t stress about it! If your piece breaks in the kiln, you will be given a makeup painting session or a staff member will repaint a pot for you. By purchasing this ticket, you are agreeing that Bookworm Pottery & Co. is not liable for damaged pieces or lost pieces that are unsigned and mistakenly claimed by another customer.
• WAIVER: Engaging in pottery classes can be taxing on the body. Throwing on the pottery wheel is not recommended for individuals who have injuries in their hip, back, shoulders, or wrists; arthritis, tendonitis, carpal tunnel, or joint pain. By participating in pottery classes with Bookworm Pottery & Co., you understand and accept that you are creating at your own risk, participation can exacerbate current/prior injuries, and release Bookworm Pottery & Co. from any liability during use of the studio. If you need special accommodations during class, please inform an instructor and we will make accommodations to the best of our ability, but cannot guarantee that we can perfectly accommodate every need. • REFUND POLICY: Tickets cannot be refunded, prorated or exchanged for another workshop due to the special nature of our offerings and very limited enrollment. If something comes up that impacts your attendance, you are welcome to resell your tickets.
